If you follow bluegrass music you need to buy this CD!

The arrangements are strong, with a country & western edge. Some steel guitar and well-mixed, subtle drum tracks add a modern leaning to what is otherwise traditional bluegrass. "Mississippi River Raft" and the title cut, "Lefty's Old Guitar", the first two cuts, are my favorites. But, I find myself returning to this CD again and again to listen to all the tracks. Ricky Wasson's strong lead singing and J.D.'s iconic banjo leads and back-up make this one a classic. It's my favorite J.D. Crowe offering since his 1976 release with Tony Rice, Ricky Scaggs, and Jerry Douglas. Highly recommended!

All I can say is "Excellent"!

I absolutely love this cd. J.D. Crowe still breaking it down after all these years. I have this cd in my car since I bought it and it hasn't been taken out yet. The entire disc is great, not too many cd's you buy that you like all songs, but this one I did. Bluegrass Rules!!!!!!!!!!
Lefty's old guitar is my fav song on this disc
