I read Awakening, the first book in this series. It was a gentle paranormal romance with lots of background, some conflict, and a hint of intrique to come. Well, in this book the twists and turns and visual imagery are sensational. The new characters and conflicts get more and more exciting as the book moves on. Ana's relearning her skills for self-defense is so believeable. I really, really loved the concepts introduced and found myself thinking it was totally, maybe possible. The expoaure to the Northwest and Victoria Island scenery is almost like a picture of tall trees and green in the real world. Read this book in one long sitting. Language ok for anyone. Can't wait for the next. Based on this one, it will be a humdinger.

    beachy

This being the second book in the series I did not expect it to get any better and it did not. The same redunency and boring dialog was repeated, and repeated, and repeated. I don't recommend this one either.

    Needs a good editor

Tedious, disjointed. Also had get used to the words breaking at odd places because the text does not fit the Nook.

    Compelling story but...

The story line is interesting but the writing isn't. Character development is poor, dialog is unnatural and in general the characters are not inviting.

    Ugh

Worst book the story line is okay if it was written by somebody else, the dialogue is very bad. I mean there is no flow and emotion and the author repeats everything like 5times . The plot is a good concept but overall the book was exremely disappointing . The first one was way better , i hate not finushung trilogies but its not worth it

    Ending not so great

I really enjoyed the first two books of the series, but felt the last book was lacking. It seemed rushed to me. Some of the storyline was so different from the rest of the series it just didn't feel right to me. I liked it over all, but disapointed for sure.
