Extremely entertaining! A must have for any musical collection! In a word WOW!

Kristin Chenoweth is in a class all by herself! Anyone you loves the old melodies and lyrics of yesterdays showtunes, they are in for a treat. Kristin has a way of painting a picture with the way she can accentuate the vocal phrases. Her voice flows through the songs effortlessly. Kristin is just amazing in the way she can put so much emotion and character into a song. From start to finish this CD is a GEM! A song has no better friend today than Kristin Chenoweth! Kristin has a great vocal range ("The Girl In 14G"). She has fun with the number "If You Hadn't But You Did". To be honest I think she has fun from start to finish in this one. The final song "Daddy" reminds the listener of Eartha Kitt's Christmas song "Santa Baby". I wish that the executives from PBS would put her PBS concert performance from a few years back on top quality DVD. HEY GUYS IT WOULD SELL!!! --WOW! Do yourself a favor, Buy this CD!

    A Treat

I am not usually a type for the brassier broadway style voice, but Kristen is wonderful. I tried out this cd on a whim, and it has stunned me. You can tell Kristen is having a great time singing, and that joy spreads to the listener. I would recommend this delightful cd to anyone!

    Kristin is Perfect!

She has the most unique, pleasant, and versible voice ever in the history of Broadway. I simply love the fact she chose bigband songs. The opening song, "Let Yourself Go", is a toe-tapper and it hooks you into the rest of the cd. I urge you to buy or try out some of the songs, I guarentee this is a sure buy!

    Anxious for her next CD!

As an Oklahoman, I'm proud that Miss Chenoweth comes from our state. This CD is a terrific compilation of her best work. BRAVO. I await her next one with baited breath. Now, THIS is *music*! MORE! MORE!

    Fun! Broadway tunes! Great voice!

At first I thought it was kind of odd...it was my mom's cd, but after a few times of listening, I couldn't help belting out the tunes! I absolutely love it! I love broadway shows, so this is just up my alley. Buy it! You'll probably start humming along! :)

    What a versatile, wonderful singer!

As a performer and voice teacher myself, I listen to singers very, very critically for technique, but I'll accept technical inadequacies if the singer has an interesting interpretation. Happily, I don't have to settle for less in either area. Chenoweth is a vocal goddess!! I've already contacted Oklahoma City University, her alma mater, to get information on their voice training program for my students' future college plans, because she is clearly well-trained and well-rounded. Her choices in repertoire show a good sense of the significance of standards and the importance of introducing obscure but fabulous American songs to her audience, as well as championing new compositions. I wish ''The Girl in 14G'' was published - I can already see it being sung on one of my next studio recitals (perhaps by ME)! I heard her sing it on Garrison Keiller's show and was so blown away that I had to get the CD - glad I did. Everything else lives up to that promise and even surpasses it. Gushing? Probably. But she deserves it.
