More than a politicial polemic, a family story
I began the book to help me understand what makes Al Gore tick--knowing that the acorn rarely falls far from the tree. The senior Gore presented here is a thoughtful, sincere, compassionate man who was well ahead of his time. But more than that, I was struck by the incredibly dear and loving eulogy Al Jr. wrote for his father and the wonderful photos of father and son--the intense bond of these men is evident even in the photos. I would recommend it for Democrats and Republicans alike--and for every father who has sons.
