Great for doodling!

Fun to use as a doodle page. Seems responsive to touch. I can see kids of any age enjoying drawing and seeing what they can come up with.

I bought this to use with my literacy students. Unfortunately, the (target) letters are not shown so the student has no model to work from. To use this as a learning tool, you still need a paper copy of how/where the letters are formed which defeats the purpose somewhat.

My five year old daughter, however, LOVES to draw pictures on it.

    Simple and easy

This is such a plain and easy app. I love to have it on my nook for my learning writing preschooler. Nothing fancy, but it helps when I try to have my four year old practicing writing letters, especially on the go.

Decent but not for the intended purpose

My kids love to use it for doodling, drawing, etc. but it's pretty much useless for them to practice their letters, since there aren't any guides. Still, when an app holds a kid's attention for more than 7 seconds, it must be doing something right. The key criteria: it's free, so what do you have to lose?

    Good

This app is great for writing letters or notes. You can also draw! It also has all of the lines letter paper in real life has.

    Pass

This would be better if the system used a stylist. To just practice letters with your finger isn't really practice. In real life, our fingers don't write.

    Letter Paper

It's good if you want to practice writing one word at a time on an electronic device. You can only write so far before you have to clear it. I hardly ever use this. But otherwise, a good "game."
