The first Shadow Force romantic suspense is an entertaining tale with plenty of complex intrigue

Gabriel Creighton rescued Cameron Moore from a life sentence for two homicides when the latter was nineteen. In payment, the CIA agent demanded Cam join Delta Force, which he did and work for him when he was not out on assignment. Cam has been loyal for over a decade doing his savior's bidding, but now thirty, he wants out as he has started to find out what happened to his father and him eleven years ago with the biker gang. However, no one walks out alive on Gabe.

In the Catskills, Cam survives a helicopter assault, but decides he needs an ace to get his former mentor off his back. Special Ops Dylan Scott owes his life to Cam so he informs his friend that Gabe has a daughter. Cam goes after Skylar Slavin, who has had a recent kidney transplant. He insists her dad sent him to protect her, but she has doubts until he saves her life from intruders. On the run, they are unaware that her father has been abducted by the Dead Man's Hand terrorist cell. As they fall in love, he knows he must reveal why he detests her father, but hesitates until too late she learns the truth from another source.

The first Shadow Force romantic suspense is an entertaining tale with plenty of complex intrigue and a strong lead couple supported by outstanding secondary characters. The story line is fast-paced from the moment Cam takes out the helicopter crew pursuing him and never slows down as secrets are slowly revealed. Fans will enjoy the ride as Stephanie Tyler provides an enjoyable thriller.

    Yummm! Very riveting!

This book had the right amount of action packed adventure and romance. I label it an "edge of your seat" kind of read. Definitely a good addition for my personal library! So looking forward to the next book in this series! Hope I'll have the same thrill ride as this one - we shall see!

SHADOW FORCE - Great New Military Romantic Suspense Series

Get ready for the next great military romantic suspense series, Shadow Force debuting by New York Times author, Stephanie Tyler with LIE TO ME for Bantam Dell Nov. 2010. In the Catskills Mountains Delta Force agent, Cameron Moore is being followed by a helicopter on his Harley. He fears his nemesis Gabriel Creighton has finally caught up with him and wants to force him to do his dirty work once again. Gabe is a CIA chameleon, who has controlled Cam's life for 11 years by getting Cam released early from a life sentence for a double homicide and having Cam commit to being his black ops agent when he's not on Delta Force missions. After two years in prison at age 19, Cam would have agreed to anything especially since he didn't commit the murders. Cam is tired of living life on the edge and when he doesn't complete his last mission - another killing for Gabe, he goes into hiding and cuts out the tracking chip he's worn in his arm for years. When the helo catches up to Cam he kills the men inside and goes to his special ops friend, Dylan Scott's home, who owes him for saving his life on a past mission. Dylan is able to repay Cam by telling him Gabe has a daughter, Skylar Slavin, who is a bestselling suspense author which is just the leverage Cam needs to finally be rid of Gabe. He discovers Sky is nearby vacationing in a cabin to write her latest book. Cam's plan is to kidnap Sky and even kill her if he has to to punish Gabe for all the years of hell he has endured. However, when Cam meets Sky all his plans are forgotten when he is fiercely attracted to the lovely, innocent, talented woman, who he discovers is recovering from kidney transplant surgery. Sky also is greatly attracted to the rugged warrior, Cam even though she's not sure her father has sent him to protect her since she hasn't heard from Gabe in several months. However, she throws caution to the wind and sleeps with Cam since she is tired of putting her life on hold due to her long-term kidney disease. When three thugs attack their cabin the next day, Cam kills them and the two are on the run for their lives from unknown forces. Little do they know that the evil terrorist group, Dead Man's Hand (DMH) has taken Gabe hostage and is torturing him to get him to reveal CIA secrets and are also after Sky because of her father. In the meantime, Dylan is still trying to help Cam by going after an intriguing female spy, Riley Sacadano, who also has ties to Gabe, that Dylan has run into and made love to on several black op missions. Stephanie Tyler has crafted an absolutely fantastic, intricate military suspense plot with more twists and turns to keep readers guessing and a double love story to keep romance fans warm on a cold winter's night. LIE TO ME should elevate Ms. Tyler's career to the top of all the bestseller lists and leave them wanting more Shadow Force novels from this talented author!
