I have read many books on near death experiences, as well as Christian History, many articles on the scientific denial and they all presented separate arguments but hardly mentioning the opposition. This book lays out, argues and I think proves the common sense underlying the issue of life after death.

After finishing the book, the whole issue went "click" and all the pieces fit together. It is the book to read in order to follow all arguments on all sides of the issues.

Another great book by Dinish D'Sousa

Evidence for life after death?....I did not see the evidence

"Life After Death" was certainly an interesting read. If nothing else, it was a great survey of philosophical thought. Mr. D'Sousa covered the philosophy (or at least certain aspects) of David Hume, George Berkeley, Immanuel Kant and many others. However, his evidence for an afterlife was sorely lacking despite his dicussions of philosophical concepts. It appeared that he spent most of his time engaging in arguments with atheists and Atheism in general. His primary objective seemed to be to undermine a non theistic/materialist view of the world. Mr. D'Sousa discussed the multiverse theory and how it could hold the possiblity for life after death. He also went into some detail discussing NDE's. Nevertheless, he did not provide any concrete evidence for an afterlife through either one of these avenues. Though the book was fairly interesting, I would say that its content really did not match the title. I give it two stars for being an interesting philosophical survey, but I can't recommend it beyond that.

The Foreword asks you to suspend your prejudices when reading this book that is nothing but prejuducial vitriol. The first two chapters are nothing but a rant of denegration and anger against atheists and 'reductive materialists'. I'm four chapters into his book and is it so filled with hate and animosity that I could care less about his 'evidence'.
