Daschle's account will grip Democrats and Republicans alike

Senator Tom Daschle's account of the events of the tumultuous 107th Congress is riveting. He provides amazing details that few others could, and he tells the story in a way that will grip you and pull you along. Daschle truly exposes his soul in this book, revealing his deepest emotions, strenghts, and weaknesses. After reading this book, I still think he should be replaced as leader of the Democratic Party, but my respect for him has been greatly increased by his candid account of his actions and the events of those two years. This book will be enjoyed by Democrats of all ideologies and by Republicans interested in learning more about our government from the very honest perspective of an admittedly imperfect Democratic leader.

    Great Book

This book takes you inside the workings of the Senate during both an interesting and frightening time in U.S. history. The terrorist attackes and the anthrax attacks are combined with polical strategies that brought control of the U.S. Senate to the Democrats. The book is very interesting

Serious words for a serious time from a serious man.

This account of the 107th Congress and the incredible and unthinkable time they faced is incredibly gripping. Senator Daschle vividly recounts the trials we faced as a nation after 9/11 with a sense of patriotism and humility, which truly signifies his leadership.
