Thoughtful and Challenging
Being a student of Pirsig for many years, I am thrilled to see new work involving his writings. LILA'S CHILD is a valuable companion to both LILA and ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE and a handy reference source for some of the the questions left unanswered in Pirsig's two books. The book starts out a little slow. The first time I read it, I skipped over pretty much all of the first two chapters before something caught my attention in chapter 3. It finishes strong though, and deserves a prominent spot on any Pirsig reader's bookshelf.
