    Okay read

I thought it was okay. Elissa lives in this futuristic planet...think the world of Futurama (I know there's better examples but I just watched it. Lol) For 3 years she's been not herself, she gets vivid dreams and mysterious bruises show up. They finally found a MD that can treat her but she finds out it's because of something entirely different. There's a girl that looks like her and they share a link.

Lin explains what she is, a spare, and what she means to Elissa. They aren't safe there anymore on the planet so they convince to ride in the spacecraft Cadan (her brother's childhood friend) was driving. While on board they learned a lot about what's going on and what the spares are really used for.

I thought it was an original story but I didn't like it more because I didn't like the characters most of the time. I had no bonding with them. There was moments I wanted to shake Elissa for be excessively mean and when she was be idiotic. Lin at times worried me with her mindset. She had no qualms with wanting to hurt people. Don't get me wrong but there was good parts and was a good read. I didn't care for the characters and to me that's a big part.

Would I pick up anymore books on the series? Maybe.
