    Hot Read

originally posted at: www.whippedcream2.blogspot.com ***** Take a cook, a bartender, and an owner. Mix them in the bedroom and what have you got? Lisa's Summer Cowboys.

This story intrigued me when I read the blurb. She's a tad chunky and they are interested in her. I liked the premise and couldn't wait to see how it played out. From page one, the action didn't wane. I got a sense of what each man looked like and how she found each one delicious. What I didn't get to see and wanted to, was what she looked like. I got a general impression, but I never got the idea of what she defined as heavy. I think had I had a better description of her, as seen through their eyes, it might have made her more realistic to me.

Still, the story has more than its share of heat. Whew. Once I started this story, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to see if she indeed got her cowboys and what the boys did with her. I loved Garrett and Case's no-nonsense attitudes. They knew exactly what they wanted and how bad, but within boundaries. It was really sexy to read about their determination. I loved them immediately.

The only other issue I had was her tendency to flip-flop in emotions. She wanted to succumb to the desire and just be with them, but she did a lot of thinking. I understand her struggle. She wasn't what popular culture considers beautiful. That made her easy to relate to. She's not perfect. But, while I could understand her fear of being involved, I wanted to see more backbone out of her. Go for what she wanted without restraint - unless it came from Case and Garrett, then, by all means...use restraints.

If you want a story that's hot and has a pair of sexy cowboy heroes, you can't go wrong with Lisa's Summer Cowboys. I give it 3.5 cherries.
