Wayne Toups and his band Zydecajun have traveled a number of musical roads since their debut release in 1985. Referred to as the Cajun Springsteen, Toups mixes zydeco with Southern rock, blue-eyed soul, and country. Little Wooden Box is his first recording for the Shanachie label, and contains 13 songs of traditional Cajun sung in French and originals in English. ~ Al Campbell
