Okay, seriously. Harlan Coben doesn't set the price, the publishers do. The man worked hard to write the book, and the book critics have already been singing its praises and calling it his best book. Those are big words, considering the success he's had. The rating system is for the book itself, to give prospective customers an idea if it's any good. Don't throw up 1 and 2 star ratings because you think it's too expensive. I agree, the ebook does seem overpriced, but come on, use your heads! I got an advanced copy and must say it was great. Classic Harlan Coben/Myron Bolitar. I'm recommending it to all my friends. Readers -- Don't be turned off by all the people who want to rate a book based on it's price.

don't complain to B&N

I checked Amazon, and the Kindle version is $14.99. Seems that this could be the future of e-books due to the author and publisher demands. Too bad because the pricing was one of the reasons I bought one.

Gone For Good is not a Myron Bolitar novel I am sorry to announce. Get your facts straight.

I am a die hard Harlan Coben fan but was disappointed by this book. There wasn't much to feel good about at the end.

    Interesting

This is the first book I read by Harlan Coben. Although he managed to grip my interest with the words "he stared at the two words." on a facebook page, Harlan Coben is the kind of author that would be able to build a mystery around a candy wrapper found on the ground (there was only one person who ate that candy. It struck fear in the detectives heart). the rest of the book is anticlimatical; you'd think that the book would really present at least screeching tires, a scream, instead the suspense dissappeared. The other thing I noticed is Mr. Cobens "fiction. fiction is this, not that" its like Mr. Coben is talking to a bunch of pretweens. No wonder his next book is going to be about Myrons nephew.
While his book is interesting and suspenseful, my number one mystery author is C.J. Box.

Good for Fans of the Series, Only passable for first time readers

If you aren't already a fan of Myron, Win and the rest of the gang - this book might not impress you. But for a follower of the series, it was good (not great) Coben's writing doesn't shock and confuse me like it used to but the characters are close to my heart. It was hard to say goodbye to them, which it seemed Coben was trying to do - end it. If it is the end though, I wish that he would have ended it on a higher note.
