Packed Full of Inspiration and Wit

I take it with me when I know I'll be waiting somewhere so that I can get quick inspiration! The clever way in which Ms. Ellis writes makes the stories and lessons stay with you. For instance, she writes about "Stratitude," which is, she says, a strategy of gratitude. The stories made me laugh. The poems made me cry. RachelShow Less

I highly recommend this beautiful poem. It will make you appreciate every day and how we should live our lives.

I read the Dash poem to my social studies class before Thanksgiving. Some were very touched by this beautiful poem. They said thank you for reading the Dash. It made them think about how easy it is to take life for granted.

    Linda's work is thought provoking!

Reading Linda's essays and poetry is like taking a walk with a trusted friend-sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry. But, you are always left with a feeling that you are not alone and can make it through the next crisis in your life. I, especially, appreciate what she has to say about smiles being contagious. I've tried to practice this philosophy in my life and have found it to be true. Linda, keep contemplating and writing-your thoughts and smiles are needed!

This book will change the way you approach life - A must read!

After reading the "Dash" book by Linda Ellis. I could not wait until the release of this book. I was especially inspired by the story of Zachary, the 10-year old boy who marvelled at the wonders of a snowstorm. Thank you Linda for making me realize that "every moment matters". Cheers!!

    Highly Recommended

Live Your Dash...what a concept. "RIP" (Recognize, Implement, Proceed).."My Four D's".."I Infection".I experienced these new concepts in the first 30 pages! In this book I have learned ways to "Deal in Real" and to "Live like you are living" yes living. The more I read the more I learned. The more I learned the more I read. The concepts are simplistic yet powerful and are written in a way that I easily connected with. I couldn't put down.

    BRILLIANT! "Simply" BRILLIANT!

Linda Ellis has purposefully simplified her poems, prose and messages to ensure her words were not only read, but literally felt by the multitudes. I never considered reading this book a "task," but instead an enjoyable, easily flowing escape from life's stresses. Reading cleverly chosen words, I was unknowingly drawn to the simple, and yet in that very simplicity, powerful life-changing messages conveyed by this author. Like an experienced artist paints a beautiful portrait of life, Ms. Ellis shares advice and antecdotes in a comprehendible fashion. If she had written these life lessons in a complicated, convoluted manner, they would never be as easily remembered and therefore, integrated into our daily lives! LOVE THIS BOOK!

Linda's book will warm your heart, ease your mind and energize your thoughts!

This book is a reminder that life is a gift to be treasured and by applying simple changes to our priorities and outlook, we can find our passion, appreciate ourselves and others more and realistically reach our goals. The stories and poems are humorous, entertaining and comforting and one in particular, of the many that I could relate to entitled, "The Mourning After", will console your soul! This is a beautiful book that you can read and reread and always continue to be inspired.

Linda Ellis Is One Of The Most Talented Writers & Poets Of Our Time

I have read some of Linda Ellis's poems and material that are in "Live Your Dash". Linda has been given the music of the muse and her work will touch your heart, challenge your mind, and comfort your soul. She weaves out pages of her craft and her words and the imagery it conjures will set every emotion in your fiber demanding a command performance.
