Rock and roll in the hands of the Beatles:Fantastic!!!

I wasn't expecting a live performance with claps and everything because it was obvious that they were in The BBC studios doing a radio show. It was very refreshing for me to hear these cd's, it gave me a clearer look on how the beatles aproached rock and roll. Incredible improvising that gave a clear statement of just how good these guys were. Great from start to finish. I recomend it for anyone interested in knowing a group they say they love.

    Good Album

I heard this album and it sounds like someone was recording songs on bbc radio one. I saw the booklet and some the songs were not realised but that album is the best and this album will be good.

    Great CD

If you're expecting a live CD from the title ''Live At The BBC,'' you will be disappopinted, as I was, to learn that there is no clapping involved here. In fact, the songs are played back-to-back, with absolutely no break in between. This would make it pretty difficult if you wanted to record onto cassette from it. Also, all ''Live At The BBC'' is, basically, is an extention of the Anthology sets. However, when you play this CD, you can find some great recordings, and previously unreleased versions of the songs (that is my connection to Anthology.) Some of my personal favorite tracks are ''Can't Buy Me Love,'' ''A Hard Day's Night,'' ''Till There Was You,'' ''All My Loving,'' ''Things We Said Today,'' I Feel Fine,'' ''I'm A Loser, ''Rock And Roll Music,'' ''Ticket To Ride,'' and ''Love Me Do.'' The version here of ''Love Me Do'' is very new, and definitely can't be found anywhere else, but it has drums to back up the harmonica's intro, which I thought was entertaining. Their version of the 1950's Chuck Berry classic, ''Johnny B. Goode'', was too slow for me, but that's a personal opinion. The interviews were okay, but speaking for myself personally, I prefer the music. However, I believe that if you are truely a big Beatles fan, as I am, then this CD is definitely one that you should own. Although there are a few negative points, the positive far outweigh these, so if you don't own ''Live At The BBC,'' then get it -- and fast!
