My mother was diagnosed with Parkinsons and I wanted to learn more about how the disease progresses. This book was a helpful start although the concentration was on early onset Parkinsons which my mother is not. It is an easy read and explains everything very simply. I shared it with my mother who also found it useful. The chapter on finding the right doctors was very helpful as was the chapter on diet. My mother's doctor told her that her diet did not matter. She had told me she was going to go on the Atkins diet since it had worked for her in the past. The book explained how that would have been a very bad decision for her. This book would be a very good reference and motivational for someone with early onset Parkinsons Disease.
