Read Rachel and the Hired gun first....................................................................................................
Its not absolutely essential but it does help to explain some of Logans persona. Good story with a desparate damsel in distress and an ultimate hero. highly recommend

LOGAN’S OUTLAW by Elaine Levine is an exciting historical romance set in 1875 Dakota Territory. What a wonderful story of trust, romance, secrets, danger, and the rough Western frontier. Sarah Hawkins, captured by the Sioux, and held captive for a couple of years, finally escapes. What she finds she trouble, adventure, and love. Logan Taggart,a trader, loner, but who is tempted by Sara and finds himself her protector. As they travel through the prairie, they must evade Indians, who are out to recapture her,a past she thought long-buried,danger,adventure,passion and love. Sara has been hurt in more ways than one can see,her body was branded by the Indians, her heart wounded by an abusive husband, but what she learns will either kill her or make her stronger. Logan,is not looking for marriage, love or a family, but what he finds is both and so much more. A powerful love story that will have you hooked at the first sentence as these two young people learn to trust each other and face a hard choice. A must read for anyone who enjoys a wonderful Western, historical romance, and a beautiful love story. Received for an honest review. Details can be found at Zebra Books, published by Kensington Publishing Corp, the author’s website, and My Book Addiction and More.

I really enjoyed this book. Logan is a terrific hero and Sarah is wonderful. I haven't read too many western romances but am very glad I picked this up. I recommend it highly. I did not read the books by Elaine Levine that preceded this book but I plan too even though this book stands alone.
