Gripping. I am not sure if I liked this book or not, but I know I could not put it down. The storyline of two separated parents searching for their missing daughter who everyone, including her own mother, had presumed dead drew me in. The picture of 5 small foster girls living for the summer at a ranch and the possibility of a tender reunion and a happy ending for everyone involved tugged at my heart strings. It was everything else that bugged me. The writing was good but there were just too many things I asked: REALLY? about to make the storyline believable. There were about ten too many coincidences and people who ended up related (at the end it all felt like incest....) to be believable. The characters reactions to the situation and things that happened were too weak. They were not believable. Some of the things that happened to the kids, the kids actions, reactions and the reactions of the officials involved were even more weak. So in the end I wanted to like the novel but I didn't and I would not recommend it. Pick up something else instead. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
