Think about all the great plays of the last few decades with too many dirty secrets and too much booze- 'That Championship Season,' 'The Boys in the Band,' 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' Add this to your list; it's the groundbreaking work that preceded all of them. The characters are incredibly real. The thing that really makes this a great work of art is that it remains totally compelling even though the characters, especially Jimmy, are so unsympathetic. If I got the opportunity to play Jimmy Porter, I would never need to act again. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
