I first heard of this book through the New England Ski Museum, and was very interested in reading it, as I learned how to ski on a backyard slope in Danvers, Mass. Locust Lawn, owned and run by Nate and Janet (Cutter) Nichols had two rope tows hitched up to two old cars and a warming hut seving hot cocoa. My mom, dad, brother and I skied there every Sunday, starting in 1960, and continued to ski together for the next 25 years or so in various New England locations. Was this review helpful?
