I really had high expectations for this book but I was kind of disappointed. I actually was really excited to start reading it but I found that I had a really hard time getting through it. I found the beginning really slow and I felt it was kind of boring. Overall it was an OKAY book and I think Les Becquets made it much better with the middle and ending of the book. I would kind of recommend it but I didn't think it was great. =/

    Love, Cajun Style 5091

Love, Cajun Style is a great, modern read that will relate to almost any teenager and all their conflicts in life, with relationships, and becoming more mature to family issues and troubles at school. Lucy, Mary Jordan, and Evie grew up in a small area in Louisiana called, Sweetbay. These three girls are the best of friends. The girls shared everything with each other, as soon as it happened. They couldn't go 24 hours without talking to one another! Lucy, Mary Jordan, and Evie take adventures together, and on their own, whether its going swimming in the ocean together completely naked, or falling in love with the boy they would never assume would take their heart.
Mary Jordan thought she had found her love for a little while now, his name is Doug. They dated and then broke up, she got sweet revenge on him, but he figured it was her that pulled the prank so he got her back, but in a sweet, lovely manner by kissing her on stage of a rehearsal. Mary and Doug are a big dramatic couple that always seems to be the drama in the group. Evie has also seemed to find who she is the happiest with, Billy, Mary Jordan's older brother who attends LSU. Evie has always had a little puppy crush on Billy when they were younger but now she thinks it's true love. And for Lucy, she has drama of her own. From her mother being accused of having an affair, to Lucy being hit on by her teacher/someone she baby-sits for.
This book is just so realistic, and really relates to a lot of peoples lives and issues in everyday situations. It shows how difficult or how easy growing up can truly be and how some might view the experience of love, or their opinions on true love. Every that occurred in this book I'm sure everyone has heard about happening to himself or herself or someone they know personally. This is an addicting book that once you start reading you just want to know what happens next, you feel like your one of the best friends in the book who's going through the experiences with them.
