    This is a "MUST READ" book for everyone married couple!

    This book is, by far, one of the very best books written for married couples. Whether you have a great marriage, or your marriage is in trouble, you will find this book to be very helpful. More than twenty years ago, my husband and I read this book together. At the time we were very committed to our marriage (we had decided before marriage that divorce would never be an option), but our marriage was in big trouble. After reading this book, our marriage took a 180 degree turn and has continued over the years to get better and better. We will be celebrating our 28th anniversary this year. This is the book we buy for every newly married couple that we know and all couples that we know are going through marital problems!

    I have bought three copies...

    I have bought three copies...

    because I keep giving it away! Originally a wedding gift from our pastor, it has served us well. Whenever I interact with a person who's asking questions about a problem in their marriage, I pull this book from my arsenal of products I've run across and studied over the years. Next week will be our 13th anniversary--we're certainly not experts by a long shot--but this book helped us to have a proper perspective and it will help you too.

    It will be helpful at this point to diagnose your own situation and to determine what you would like your relationship to be. Deciding where you are and where you should be is a first step in the direction of constructive change. One or more of the following statements will probably describe your marital situation, so put a mental checkmark where it belongs.

    ( ) We have a good marriage now, but we want to continue to grow in love for each other.
    ( ) We have never been in love, not even when first married.
    ( ) We have lost the love that we once felt for each other.

    I would and do recommend this book quite regularly. The only thing I'd like to see different is that IT'S TIME FOR A NOOK VERSION!!! :) That way I can keep giving away all my hard copies and still get to have my own version.

    I received this book as a gift, and although I am not married, I was interested in reading it. The book does make good arguments. However, the author seems condescending to non-christians, and doesn't seem to consider marriages where there is mistreatment. In any case, I did find it inspirational.

    Save or enhance you marriage, even by yourself!

    Excellent book for any married couple to read. I picked it up from someone because one chapter interested me, and ended up reading it cover to cover! It is biblically based and paints a very hopeful picture for anyone struggling or who has lost hope with their marriage. It also helps with already healthy marriages, to keep it alive and help it grow every year like it should. He shows you practical, simple things to do to create the proper environment to rekindle that lost feeling of love. If you are willing to commit 100% to your spouse and not let anyone tell you different, you can do this if you follow his instruction consistently. If you do this, he assures you improvement within 6 months, at least enough that you will be together in your efforts to improve it even more. Highly recommended!
