eh. you can do better with $6

i've read other romantic comedy books like the boys next door (which i liked). so when i bought this book, i guess i was expecting too much and it didnt really live up to my expectations. there are many other ebooks out there that are less than $6 and (in my opinion), are a better read. i recommend reading this... as a last resort. you might think this is the best book ever made, but hey. everyone has their own opinions.

    I Also Recommend:

    Boring!

I bought this book because I've read quite a few of the other stories in the Romantic Comedies Series and they are usually guaranteed to be a good read. HOWEVER, this one is horrible. I'm the type of person who gets a new book, sits down, and reads it from start to finish in one go. I have had this book for a little over a week now and I just cannot force myself to read all of the way through it. I've gotten 3/4ths of the way through, and I'm pretty sure I know how it's going to end, but the writing is terrible, the plot is boring, and you'd find more personality in an empty fish bowl than you would in these characters. I know it seems unfair to be judging this book so harshly, especially when I haven't even finished it, but... it's just so boring! I have stopped on page 216 and there has been basically ZERO romance so far. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the dialogue doesn't fit the characters, and the author is very guilty of this. The teenagers in this book don't talk like teenagers. They talk like old people who spend their free time reading the thesaurus.
I'm sorry, Whitney Lyles, but maybe you'd be more qualified flipping burgers at McDonald's than writing teen romance novels. Just sayin'.

Oh my goodness!!! I love this book. I definitly recommend it. It was about a girl named Natalie and is dating someone named Jeremy. She soon feels that they are growing apart and starts falling for Matt, Jeremys best friend. What will happen? Read the book to find out.

Reviewed by Jennifer Rummel for Teens Read Too

Natalie writes for the school newspaper. Among other articles, she's in charge of the anonymous romance advice column. She feels like a hoax, because she's having the biggest romance doubts in her life. She's been dating Jeremy for two years. Everything about him screams perfection. While she cares about him, she's afraid she's no longer in love with him. It's the worst possible timing, as his parents are going through a divorce. She doesn't want to break up with him during his time of need, but she doesn't want to keep up pretenses of their failing relationship. The worst part is she's having feelings for someone else - his best friend. How can she give advice to others when she can't even handle her own love life? LOVE OFF-LIMITS is a quick, entertaining read filled with humor, romance advice, self-doubts, and learning when to take a stand.
