love
i have feelings for this guy i see does he love me too? What does he think of me?i wish i could tell him he makes me whole but im afraid to say whats deep in my soul. I dont want to lose him for then i'd be alone an some days i just car'nt wait to hear his vioce on the phone. He does certin things to make me feel loved. Some days he wants to be alone an my hart is shoved. I want to feel as if im his safeguard the one he can come to when things get hard.I will always be there to help him along an befor we meet i wasnt as strong. I wish i could tell him what i feel inside. But im afraid of what he'll say how he'll act on the outside.

Original
This book was wonderfully original. I have never read poems like these before but I hope to read many more very soon. The poems made me smile and I would recommend it to just about anyone.

Perfect collection for the heart
These poems speak to the heart of anyone, male or female, who has ever experienced love, especially 'Love Is' and 'How do you write a poem.' This is a great collection for anyone longing to read about good, old-fashioned love.

Nikki Giovanni: She's Done It Again
Nikki Giovanni is one of if not the nation's most widely known African-American female poet. Nikki is notarious for sparking intellectual thought and causing emotional flooding. In her book, Love Poems, she has done it again. She has managed to harnass the use of the English language in a way that has enabled her to enjoy her ride as successful writer for three centuries. Two poems in the book that I would strongly recommend would be, '...And Yeah...This Is a Love Poem' and 'I Take MasterCard'.

A New Look at Love Poems
The poems were not typical love poems. The poems were about a love for a variety of things, like nature.
