The book I¿m reviewing is Love, Ruby Lavender written by Deborah Wiles. I think this book deserves three stars. It is just an okay book because the author does not describe the characters very well. She also does not use a lot of adjectives. This book is about a young girl named Ruby and her grandma Miss Eula. When Miss Eula goes to visit her new granddaughter in Hawaii, Ruby meets her teacher¿s niece and become best friends. Ruby and Miss. Eula¿s relationship is maintained by mail. They can¿t wait until they see each other again. A problem that occurs in this story is that Miss Eula goes to Hawaii to meet her new baby cousin and leaves Ruby behind. Ruby and Miss. Eula write letters to each other. Ruby is jealous of her new cousin . I¿d recommend this book to children in grades 2-5. This author doesn¿t have any other books published yet.
