I have not read the book; however I would like to address those that are praising the authors research. Most biblical scholars believe that Job is actually pre-patriarch - one poster states amazement that they "interacted". There is nothing in the bible that suggests that they did. As another poster mentions; while Jobs children die - there is nothing to suggest that his wife did also. Nor is there any mention of Dinah after her brothers kill her husband. THIS is a work of FICTION. Don't get your doctrine from it. That being said, it may be a perfectly lovely story.

The book was well written and entertaining, so for that I would

The book was well written and entertaining, so for that I would have given four stars. However, it is probably the LEAST realistic "Bible story fiction" I've read. I've read Job many times and way too much of this story has been completely fabricated so far that most of it is literally impossible. People should be careful when studying Scripture to study deep, but not so deeply that you "find" things that are not there. Good author, though....would probably prefer to read her talents NOT using Bible characters unless she can stick a little bit more with realism.
