    A Star is Born

i will have to say WOW on this cd Latoya did not disapoint at all with this . as i have said before she is better on the ballads as opposed to the upbeat jam'n songs . but she does alright with them . overall i would say the best songs are all ballads and they include "LEARN TO BREATH","STATE OF MY HEART ","WAITING FOR YOU ","HOW I LOVE THE RAIN " and the song that started it for her on idol "ALL BY MYSELF ". her singles "APPRECIATE"and "EVERY PART OF ME " are good as well and included as well on the cd. also PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT is a nice pop sounding song that is really good as well. there are really no songs that are bad though "ANYTHING " and "NON A WHATCHA DO " are probably my least favorite on the cd . "ANYTHING a somewhat sensious, sultery song and "NON A WHATCHA DO "is somewhat of a dance jam. but overall Latoya has put out a beautiful cd which showcases her beautiful soulful voice and shows us a real talent finally

    Hope to Hear More!!

I thought she had a wonderful voice when I saw her on Idol and I'm really happy to see her growing with this CD. My favorite song is Waiting for You. I really like the ballad R&B songs the best. Those show off her vocal range the best. There is no doubt this girl can sing!! I look forward to seeing more development with her music.

    A must have cd

Ms London vocals are crystal clear, finally an artist that I can understand what's being said. If you're in a relationship or about to start one this is a must have cd. I recommend buying at least two cd's. One for the car and home. This cd will definitely set the mood for discussions and other things.

The Best CD of the Year!

Latoya has taken a very interesting step with “Love & Life.” While the artists that originated this type of music (classic R&B) are trying and (for the great majority) FAILING at molding to the new styles of popular music, she brings us this traditionalistic DEBUT album. Only a true star can dare to revoke current trends in the music industry and go for real art and succeeed. Props to Latoya and her crew for that! The album is split between vocally intense ballads and radio-friendly jams. The former include "Learne to Breathe," the gospely "Waiting for You" and the Babyface reminiscent "I Can't Hide." The later include "Scandalous," "Appreciate," the slow and sultry "Meet Me Halfway," "Practice Makes Perfect." and the Destiny's Child-ish songs "Anything" and "Non a Watcha Do." IMO, the album's best two tracks are the soulful "State of My Heart" and the classic jazz ballad "How I Love the Rain."

    Love & Life

This debut CD gives us validation of why we voted for LaToya every week. Her vocal skins never faulter and send goosebumps down my arms. She has the voice we dream of. My personal favorites are the ballads. LEARN TO BREATH, STATE OF MY HEART, ALL BY MYSELF, but I also enjoy the upbeat PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, EVERY PART OF ME and growing on me more and more with each listen..... "MORE". Now "NONE OF WHAT YOU DO" has a catchy hook, along with "APPRECIATE", This is one of those CD's that I can't pick a favorite because it's going to depend on what mood i'm in and on what day! Cheers to you LaToya!
