    Brillant

I seriously can not come up with another adjective to describe what I believe is the final book in this series. I have loved this series since book one and was so disparate to get my hands on this book. It felt like I waited forever for it to be released. I was seriously worse than a kid waiting for their birthday. I had absolutely no idea that this book would blow the others out of the water. I can not remember a time when I have been so impressed by a concluding book. I have read almost 300 books this year and this is most definitely in the top 5. I know there is no way I can do this book justice, but here are some of the things I loved about this book:
*We finally get in Lucus's mind. I will not give spoilers away, but I can tell you the author really created a very deep character and discovering who he was was simply magical.
*This is dangerously close to a spoiler, but here goes. The scenes between Valerie and Lucas when... Never mind I can not figure out how to say it without giving it away. Let me just say there are some very revealing moments between the two that really brought the story full circle.
*The book takes place where the other book ended. The author does not spend half the book retelling the whole series. This is just a continuation of this amazing tale.
*I could not put this book down. I had to find out what was going to happen next both in their thoughts and in the plot. I actually am planning to reread the whole series because it was just that good.
*Caroline does not write vampires that are men with a special diet. She understand the hardcore evilness of their nature and really plays on that darkness. In fact her exploration of what is good and what is evil is fascinating.
    In a nut shell:
If you have read this series, you need to read this one. You will be floored in an awesome way. If you have not read this series and love paranormal reads with some darkness, I suggest starting with Love is Darkness. This book is not intended for those under 18.

I loved this book so much. The ending was a surprise, because she ended up who I thought she should be with. I was very satisfying to finely see a seemingly unworthy character have note worthy depth.

    End of the trilogy

It was a good story with a wrapped up ending. It did not get 5 stars because I wanted more ending description, but that's probably just me. Love the series! Just a heads up for those who haven't read the books, they are dark and a little disturbing and have some graphic sex.
