Life after a breakup
Tori (aka "Miller" to her Hampton housemates) is waking up after a two-year depression caused by the breakup with her boyfriend. With the help of her best friends, Tori is made over, has started her own business, and thrown into a house share with strangers in the Hamptons. As the summer progresses, Tori comes out of her shell and begins dating, she can't help but wonder if "this new Tori" is the woman she truly wants to be.
LoveHampton is a perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon. Readers immediately connect to Tori as she struggles to move forward with her life. Yes, at times, she doesn't make the best decisions, however when she falls, she's able to pick herself back up. Readers will cheer her on as she tries to navigate her way through life and continue to "drive her bus" despite where the road may lead her.
Although, her love choice is obvious, Tori cannot see it until it's almost too late. I didn't understand why she was with George (he didn't appear to be what she wanted in a boyfriend) and at times I was frustrated with how he treated her and that she allowed him to do so.
The secondary characters added depth to the storyline. There's Alice, Tori's married best friend, who only wants the best for her; Jimmy and Jerry, her employees and relationship advisors; Cassie, one of her housemates, who just may not be as perfect as she appears; Leah, the control-freak and the one Tori needs to watch out for; and finally Andrew, Michael and Jackson, the three male roommates.
All in all, I enjoyed reading LoveHampton. My only regret? It has been sitting on my bookshelf for over a year. I wish I had read it sooner.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

sooo enjoyable
Loved this from start to finish. A witty, refined, light hearted beach read. Not trashy, very relateable for any of us going through the mid thirties ' who am I ' , while still throwing in some humor, cattiness and romance. :)

Fun Beach Read
I actually read this book on the beach. It is a pefect beach read and is engaging. Exciting plot with interesting characters in which you seem like you could relate to one if not more of them.

Great summer read!
I enjoyed this book. What the book talks about is like nothing I've ever lived, not having run/walked in those circles. But it certainly was an interesting peek into a totally different world and life.

Good Vacation Read.....
I loved this book. It was a fast read that I took on my vacation to Costa Rica. The main character was relateable and the book was very entertaining. It made you feel like you were in the Hamptons. This book goes along with my other favorite Hampton read, "The Perfect Manhattan". Both good summer reads!!!!

Very Entertaining!
This book is very fun to read. If you like Sex and The City-type scenarios, you'll love this. Loved all the references to the hot spots, the funny encounters and some topics that may hit home.. Definitely a great beach read.

Great beach read!!!
Loved Lovehampton. It's chick lit for sure, but fun, witty and with a little twist. Makes you smell the ocean and really captures one of the crazy subcultures of the Hamptons singles scene. Reading it transplants you to the summer.

amusing summer breeze
Manhattan media expert Tori Miller feels her world is imploding when the love of her life dumps her with no warning and her employer dumps her with even less warning. Still Tori somewhat rebounds from her woes by opening up her own production company, MillerWorks. --- However her two ¿J¿ employees and her buddy Alice worry about her depression and rejection of males. They form the ¿Transformation Trio¿ using Tori as the first makeover on their new TV reality show. The new glamorous Tori joins a Hampton time sharing summerhouse with five yuppies. The rules drive her crazy as they change before she can learn them and contradict one another so one is doomed to break them. Still that insanity does not prevent her from trysting with housemate Andrew Kane or helping another mate Cassie Dearborn with her escapades. --- LOVEHAMPTON is an amusing summer breeze as Tori takes over the Hamptons. The support cast is strong in Manhattan and on Long Island, but the tale belongs to the star as Tori finds this is the most wonderful summer of her life even as she breaks the sacred timesharing taboos. --- Harriet Klausner
