I Also Recommend:
First off, I love Catherine Palmer's writing. She writes Christian Romance, but her style is that of other authors writing mainstream romance. It isn't preachy, and it isn't boring. I love how the characters are portrayed with passion and emotions. It gives the sense of the characters being real. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. When I started picking up Christian romance I thought that it was going to be boring or dull, but Catherine Palmer brings it alive. There is passion and love between Mara and Brock. It isn't just a friendly love; the two have a love with fire in it. And I truly see my own faith on the pages and it's inspiring to read a love stemming from God.
I don't usually like stories where one of the characters is getting over a lost love. It always seemed to make the romance less special in a way, if you know what I mean. But when Mara realizes she loves Brock and is moving on from her deceased husband, I didn't feel that way about the story. I loved the way they come to grow together and learn how to build off of the love that God lays down for them in their lives.
It's not a very long book, but it is a really good read for a rainy day or even a sunny day. No matter where or when, I suggest you read this book.
