This is a good urban fantasy series. This book was better than the last. My complaints are these--Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
One--no one should EVER experiment with prescription drugs especially antipsychotics. I am a nurse and this part of the story shocked me. There can be serious side effects from suddenly discontinuing medication and to take a medicine such as Valium as listed in the story could be serous as wel as this drug is an antianxiety drug and a depressant as well. The wrong dose can lead to respiratory depression and death. There could be severe interactions with the other drugs he is taking. He cold also be allergic to the medicine. I had assumed that authors did research for the novels written--there was obviously none done on this subject. I hate to be so anal about this but this action is an important part of the story and for it to be so blatantly wrong and irresponsible gave me problems.
Two--The ending bothered me as well. I understand a cliffhanger but this issue is not really dealt with until book 6. The whole Dex and Perry relationship angst has become waaay to drawn out and has now become irritating. I'm not a romance fan to begin with and it is past time for this issue to resolve. Either be together or not but pick one and move on from there. I am really irritated that I have to go through another novel (5) and 2 novellas dealing with this issue in the background. Please fix this so I can concentrate on the really story and not be interrupted with the romance crap.
These parts take away from a otherwise really good novel.
