    Great Series

Every little girl loves Madeline books. There is something appealing about the repetition from book to book. Children love the fact that they can remember part of the books from one to the other because they repeat. A few books from this series with a Madeline doll make a great gift.

    For Future Elementary Teacher

I have found by reading Madeline that there are many hidden concepts that can be used within the classroom. The girls walk in straight lines when traveling to accomplish everyday tasks. This can be used to model how the students should walk in the hallways and around the school. Also, if a unit is being conducted on healthy living in my opinion this is a great book. Throughout the book Madeline seems to be fearless of everything even when faced with the obstacle of having to be put in the hospital and go through surgery. She was an extremely brave little girl. By reading this book, your students can learn that a hospital in not a scary place to go if the situation occurs as well as if you do have to go to the doctor or the hospital you need to keep a positive attitude and be very brave. Madeline can is also a good book to read for fun/entertainment as well as a book to help build on a structured lesson. These are just a few ideas that I have come up with. I hope that they may help you in choosing this book.

    Madeline

'Madeline' by Ludwig Berrelmans is a book about a little girl named Madeline. She lives with 12 other little girls. Madeline is the smallest of the group. This is a book about how Madeline's appendix was hurting her. The doctor took Madeline to the hospital. Find out if Madeline feels better...I love this book because it is inspiring to me. I love the adventures that Madeline takes. Madeline is a good main character because she is a very nice character.

    Madeline

'Madeline' by Ludwig Bemelmans is a book about a girl named Madeline. Madeline is a very cute girl who always wears a skirt. Madeline always goes away from the group, until... I love this book because Madeline wears yellow and my favorite color is yellow too. I also like how Madeline's friends treat her. They are very nice to her. Madeline is the smallest girl of the group. Even though Madeline is the smallest she is not scared of many things.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun to read and get into the story. The pictures also made it very easy to follow along. I think its a great book for girls as well as boys to read.

A great book for beginning readers

I have loved this book since hearing it, then reading it for myself at three and a half years of age. The meter lends itself to memorization, and the story is as good for boys as it is for girls.

Great for little girls who've had their appendix out!

This book was purchased as a gift for my 2 1/2 year old daughter while she was in the hospital recovering from an appendectomy. She instantly loved it and likes to see that she and the Madeline doll have the same scar! This book and doll helped make having major surgery much less scary for her.

    MADELINES REVIEW

IT WAS SHORT AND HUMOROUS.THE PICTURES IN PARIS WAS GREAT. SMALLER CHILDREN MAY FIND COURAGE IN THIS BOOK IF THEY HAVE THOSE SAME FEARS OF HOSPITALS. MADELINE WAS A GOOD BOOK.
