Don't purchase through Barnes & Noble! My order went through a third party, M2 Media Group, which lost the subscription, and when I called months later to find out what happened to it, they said they would have to start an entirely new subscription, with another 6-10 week lead time. They had absolutely no idea what happened but admitted it happens often and never accepted that the mistake could have been on their end. And they refused to do anything further than just place another subscription, which they said could still get lost. When the customer service representative refused to help me beyond that, I asked to speak with the publisher. She would not connect me to them, and the phone number she gave me to their offices was wrong. After finally connecting with the publisher, I was told that the new subscription takes 4-8 weeks to process, and they won't even be able to check to verify they've received it until then! Never have I seen such incompetence and complete lack of interest in making the customer happy. If the third party cannot tell you why the problem occurred and has no remedy for said problem, then what is the purpose of going through a third party?
