    early exposure to classical themes

I'm the mom of a five year old boy who read all 28 magic treehouse books in about 30 days. My son just couldn't stop asking for them! I was so happy to see him learning about ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome and about our Civil and Revolutionary Wars. He learned about history and he also learned about human relations as he saw the protagonists Jack and Annie, brother and sister learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses and about how two children from the same family approach life from totally different perspectives. What a lovely series. Ms. Osborne has made history 'come alive' for my son and me. I'm impressed that she could hold his attention through these ten-chapter books, but he wanted to read more than one each night. It was wonderful sharing the expereince with him-- what a great author! Thanks Mary Pope Osborne!

    Great Reading for Kids

I bought these books for my grandson per his request. He is in the second grade and had read a few of these books from the library. He likes the mystery and excitement of each book, they take you on an adventure. I strongely recommend this book to beginner readers as well as any child who likes adventure.

    Long live fantasy books!!!!!!

As with books 1-8, 9-12 are great. Jack and Annie seek greatness and follow a dream. A great series for youngsters. Teaches kids to 'go for it!'

These books grabbed my daughters heart and pulled her into reading.

It has been a challenge to get my daughter interested in reading. Ms. Osborne's books did the trick. She enjoyed these book so much and asked me, 'When can we get more?' Thank you.

    My daughter love it

Both my daughters (ages 8 and 9) enjoy the Magic Tree House series. I think most children should begin reading them around age 7, or have an adult read it to them. They are filled with adventures and I'm sure you'll learn a little history and science along the way.
