    Other ideas for this art

Bought this as a gift to expand ideas for Gingerbread House creations. If you make different cakes, this may give you a new idea for the next adventure.

    Definitly 5 Stars - Start a new family tradition, I did!craftylad

I found this book at the local library and I knew I needed to add it to my collection. My family has always wanted to build a gingerbread house and never knew how to start. We always do a pre-baked gingerbread house every yr. This book even gave the receipes and the templates to trace the exact pattern you choose from the book. How easy does that get? You can use whatever candies, etc. you want to for decorations, get creative. Be sure before begining you have set aside a full day or afternoon, its not something you will do in a few hours. Its a great family project as even small children can be included. I have purchased it for other family members too! They loved it!

    Very Helpful Book

I used this book a few days before Christmas to make and decorate a Gingerbread House with my Grandson. It came in quite helpful during the process because there are many pictures to give great ideas. The text is also written in a way that may Grandson could understand. The book was used extensively and got quite "dogearred" and sticky.

    No patterns

The cover suggests there are patterns to make the houses in the book, but that is not the case. There are patterns to make two houses and various other bits of other structures in the book, such as a sleigh, a bridge, and a mill wheel. I was hoping for a book with patterns to create my own houses, not a book of pictures of houses.

    Outstanding and Joyful!

This kit is a wonderful guide on how to make your own gingerbread house. I gave it to my granddaughter and she made her very own. This gets 5 stars because it helps you make memories with loved ones and friends. My boyfriend even bought all of his kids the kit and they had fun making it with their own children! We now will make gingerbread houses with each other for years and years to come!

    Make Christmas Memories

This book is a wonderful guide, with great photos and directions. The author is the chef at Grove Park Inn, where they have competitions each year. You don't have to be that good to make children smile, and it is great fun to do with family and friends each year. This book is a wonderful way to start on the road to memories.
