This one seemed just right, and she was producing beautiful drawings the first day. Very clear instructions.

Its a pretty good book but not for beginners, I'm good at drawing heads but not bodies and I thought this would be a good book for that but it dosent break it down step by step it just shows you pictures of how it looks and gives you little tips/pointers. This book is better for someone who already has the basic technique of drawing heads and bodies down. It was rather disappointing because I thought it would be for complete beginners.

    Good

I am a semi-experienced mangaka (manga artist- I actually thought I invented the style until I fiscovered there was a name and a world behind my drawings). I do not own this book personally, but my friend does, and I had to read it! Being an experienced artist, I found it very helpful, but uf you are a beginner, I can recommend Christopher Hart's other (cheaper ;D) book, Young Artists Draw Manga. I think that might be more helpful for you beginners. (Here's a tip-don't buy this expensive book unless you

    A. Can draw eyes and hair
    B. Can draw a rudimentary hand and foot
    C. Can draw mechas and anthros

    Otherwise, you might be overwhelmed!)

    Great book for young people!

Great format, with lots of large clear pix and less text, great for young people.
