A Hunt You Want To Go After...

Manhunt takes you on an unexpected adventure. I was shocked how the 'hunt' started within the first few pages, but it does not effect the story line at all.

We see how disoriented Nikki is when Michael rushes into her room. What amazes me is that she has no memory of him but trusts him automatically and does what he wishes. From then on, the author takes us on an steamy adventure that heats up as it goes.

I loved that readers got a sense of closure at the end. I feel bad for Nikki when her new home got violated after not living there for so long. Who knows where Nikki and Michael would be without Sophie and Christian; I think they were my fave characters.

It's a fast read and kept me chuckling every now and then with the dialogue.

Writing a Romance Suspense Drama is hard. You have to make sure

Writing a Romance Suspense Drama is hard. You have to make sure you have enough action to keep things going, enough steam to heat up the romance, and enough twist and turns to make sure the web is constantly being woven. Then on top of that you have to add details to make the people feel real. To make the situations feel like you yourself would do the same thing.

Lillie does a marvelous job at making all of the above come true. There are some 'slower' parts like the description of grocery shopping but they need to be there. It needs to be there to help add the tension and awkwardness between the two and their shopping choices give you insight into the people they are. Every detail is important.

A page turner that you don't want to miss!

Manhunt is an exciting book full of suspense, romance, and intrigue! Lillie's characters spring to life from the pages of her book and draw you into their world immediately. Michael and Nikki have had a long path of ups and downs until the tragedy that finally brought them together. As you read you are taken through what's happening to them now vs. what they've been through in the past and it keeps you turning the pages, always wanting to know what's next. The characters are believable and charming and as you are taken on their journey, their love grows before your eyes. There is also an incredible cast of supporting characters who are every bit as real and lovable as Michael and Nikki are. Christian is one of my favorite characters of all time! From the opening scene through the love scenes and up to the very end, each one is written beautifully and tastefully and bring joy to the reader. In all, I loved Manhunt! 5 stars!

Manhunt by Lillie Spencer is incredibly exciting filled with suspense and romance! I was immediately drawn to the main characters, Michael and Nikki, and their love for each other. The story was filled with intensity exposing their complicated past of abuse, love, friendship, and worthiness. Nikki was abused due to a unfavorable relationship with her past relationship with murdered victim, Sebastian. She suffered Amnesia and Michael brings her memory back during an escape to reality. The love scenes are incredibly passionate and very well written. The plot was suspenseful and it was hard for me to stop reading this book. "What happens next?" is the question that comes to mind in each chapter. It has an unexpected ending. If you are Romance readers, this is a book for you. Manhunt creates vivid scenes and I loved it! 5 stars!

I settled in to read Manhunt but was quickly on the edge of my seat. This novel is a fast paced race against time that drew me in on the first page. At first glance it seems grim for Michael Brennan, covered in blood and running from the law with a hostage, he seems guilty.

Nikki can't remember what happened but through flashbacks we get clues as to who really killed Sebastian. She runs with Michael, not understanding or remembering what has happened. When she learns that Sebastian is dead and that Michael is the prime suspect she stays with him, knowing she is safe.

Although Michael explains some of the history we learn a lot through Nikki as she slowly remembers what happened. I was shocked when I found out who really killed Sebastian. It was thrilling.

The love between all the characters, especially Michael and Nikki, is touching. The way the family rallies behind Michael, especially Jeremy, Christian and Sophie, shows that even if someone has a past, they still have a future worth living.
