Delightful new version of a classic
This is one of the latest craze of Jane Austen/horror mash-ups. I was disappointed in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, thinking the disparate elements weren't very well blended -- it was like lumpy oatmeal. But Mansfield Park and Mummies is blended very well indeed, with the supernatural/horror elements skillfully worked into the original story, and delivered with great wit and style. It's a leisurely read, despite the subject matter not an edge-of-seat thriller, but is worth the journey for the sights along the way.

Interesting view of Mansfield Park
If you're looking for a different view of the characters from the orginial book, then this is the book for you. Fanny is the same character but the aunts are very different. At least I could dis-like them (as I did in the orginial book) and be glad when they meet their eventual deaths.
