    Too much information

As a college student I don't have the time to read an almost 500 page book on citations. I needed something that would provide straight forward instructions on how to footnote and cite properly. I spend too much time searching to find what I need. Sometimes you are provided an example and others you are not. I absolutely wasted my money on this book. The book is also a waste of valuable time.

    A classic!

Very good book, I highly recommend it for writers at the early stages of their academic work.

    Turabian

Being that she is Kate Turabian, she is in the best position to write about the Turabian citing style. This book is extremely helpful and opens one's mind as to just how many different types of sources are out there because she covers just about every possibility. Extremely useful it is.

    Good Resource

This version of the Chicago-Style handbook is very helpful, easy to understand, and useful for undergraduates writing large or small research papers. I referenced it time and time again in my own undergraduate writing, and it is so much more reliable than some online resources that are inconsistent. It provides guidance for footnotes and in-text citations, which is most useful, but it also offers help in approaching a research project at the very beginning of the process. For undergraduates committed to thorough source citation, this is an excellent source of reference for research papers and projects. Plus, it's affordability is unbeatable.

Must have for Students who work with Chicago Style

If you are a student or scholar who uses the Chicago Style (ie, like in History) this book is for you. Begins by describing how to write the perfect research paper - a big help! Explains how to properly cite all types of sources! I am always turning to it when it comes to writing papers, and that is a lot!

    Great Book!

I really enjoyed this book! I used this book, some supplemental materials, and an amazing statistical research consultant who is famous in NYC to do my dissertation. By the way the consultant is also an author and I recommend his materials too as resources. For example, please see the book Research Pathways by William M. Bannon, Jr. The whole process really came together and made my dissertation a breeze to do!
