Moving, powerful and full of family dynamics
The Marcelli Bride was one of those books you just couldn¿t put down or didn¿t want it to end. It¿s a story about family, a story about feelings, and a story about passion. This book stands alone in the Marcelli Sisters series. However, I would strongly suggest that one reads all of the series in order to understand this complex and loving Italian family. First in the series is The Sparkling One ¿ Katie¿s story. Second, The Sassy One, Francesca¿s story and the third The Seductive One, Brenna¿s story. All three books also incorporate their sister Mia, who will soon have a story as well. The Marcelli Bride is Joe¿s story, their brother they didn¿t realize they had. Their parents had been young and in love and also pregnant. Their parents felt it best for them to give Joe up for adoption even though Colleen and Marco did not want to give up their baby. In later books, one finds out that Joe¿s adoptive parents died and he was raised in foster homes. Is Joe bitter? A little and weary and of course overwhelmed by this over zealous family who want to bring him into the fold, love him and of course have him involved in the family wine business. Yes, but Joe learns many lessons about family, responsibility, belonging and love. Joe is a Navy Seal, strong, proud, and smart and gorgeous. He loves his job, but when the President¿s daughter is kidnapped and needs a ¿safe house¿, Joe is asked to assist her security team and take her to the family winery for safe keeping. To further go into details would ruin this story. However, it¿s full of action, suspense, and love so hot it burns the pages, and family dynamics that will blow your mind! Darcy, the President¿s daughter is lovely but insecure. Her story is the one that touched me because even though she loved her beautiful sister whom she believed the President favored, she was insure within her own family and afraid to trust and love. Joe and Darcy¿s story is beautiful and moving and have some tissues available, you¿re going to need them. Again, Susan Mallery has penned a beautiful and entertaining story, one that I personally didn¿t want to end but I will read over and over again..

Great Book
This was a very good book. I could pretty much tell who was going to create the problem in the story with Darcy being kidnapped.I really liked all of the Marcelli books up to this point. They've all been great and I recommend all of them.

Finally
I couldn't wait for Joe's story to come to light as soon as we met him in one of the previous books. This story was great, I admit a little unbelievable at times, but a really great read. I liked the mix of the sweet romance plus the added bit of suspense was great. I would recommend this whole series to anyone.

pretty good
i liked this book. i had liked the previous three but this one is much better. i liked both of the characters and thought the premise was interesting. the ending lost me a little when the 'villain' was revealed, but otherwise, it was much better than the previous three. more interesting and better writing.

Good Read
I really liked this book. I have not read the others in the series and will look them up soon. This is a book about complicated family love and trust with a little suspense thrown in. It is written with humor and very good character development. I loved the conversations between Joe and Darcy and who couldn't picture Joe in his dress whites! Good book!

This is a terrific Marcelli saga tale
The four kidnappers wearing Halloween masks abduct the president¿s daughter Darcy Jensen from a private bathroom in a store. When they reach their van, their leader looks at Darcy in disgust and informs his thugs they snatched the wrong one as no one cares what happens to this loser. They unceremoniously leave her behind in the parking lot as they re-plot how to grab Darcy¿s glamorous popular sister Lauren. For their safety, the two siblings are sent to separate safehouses.---------------- After a harrowing overseas ops scenario, Lieutenant Commander Joe Larson and his men are happy to be alive and back in the States. The celebration leads to boat races into a training area that consequently led to the destruction of the admiral¿s personal pride and joy ship. Joe is punished by being assigned to protectg Darcy at the Marcelli Vineyards. Joe is stunned with this task as he only recently learned that he is a Marcelli. Amidst the vineyards and a family trying to bring him into their loving fold, Joe and Darcy fall in love, but first he must keep her safe.------------------------ This is a terrific Marcelli saga tale (see THE SPARKLING ONE and THE SASSY ONE) as humor and suspense make for a fun tale. The story line is filled with action from the moment that the kidnappers throw away Darcy as a ¿used tissue¿ and never slows down until the final confrontation between Joe and POTUS in the hospital. Susan Mallery provides a fine blending of the First daughter meets the Marcelli clan in a compelling thriller.---------------- Harriet Klausner
