This book is pretty good and I honestly read it only because I've been waiting for Silva's new book coming out in July. I prefer the Gabriel Allon series to Michael Osbourne, primarily because of the excellent character development of Allon and the rest of the cast whom I have come to love. But this is good if you have read all the other books a ton of times and need your Silva fix.

    Detailed, gripping and exquisitely written

Daniel Silva will join ranks with Follett, Ludlum, and Clancy. The Marching Season is the first of his books I read, and I was immediately impressed with Silva's fluid prose and exquisite attention to detail. He captures the people and the places he writes about and puts the reader there effortlessly. He takes the time to build his characters and develop their motivations, then he unleashes relentless action and surprises that make the book impossible to set down. The Marching Season is as intriguing as the hard-edged Belfast accents echoing in its pages.

    The Marching Season

I felt that the novel was very exciting and suspenseful with a lot of action in it. I felt that the start of the story was a little slow and it was about half was thought that there was some real exciting action and that¿s when it really got suspenseful and it made me want to continue reading on. The reason the start of the story was slow, was because the author took a lot of time describing the describing the main characters thoughts and feelings, and the settings, but I think it was done really well and with great detail. I think that the story was easy to reading, easy to interpret, and easy to picture the events in my mind.
