    Highly recommend

This was exactly the book I needed to regain some perspective on my life, reduce my stress, and decide how to get some balance. I especially like the incorporation of a biblical perspective

    Dauntless

    Prologue
Coriolis Flen sits at a creaky old desk. His greasy, dark hair hangs around his head like a dull curtain, and his black eyes glitter cruelly.
Another man walks in. He has tan skin, green eyes, and messy, spiky black hair.
"Greetings, Korrin. What brings you, friend?"
The other man doesn't respond. He simply stalks over and throws something down on the desk in front of Flen.
A newspaper. The headline reads, "Adults No Longer Allowed To Be Recruited."
"Hm." Flen says. "So the leader of the opposing army comes to me, unarmed and alone, to tell me something I already know?"
"You won't kill me. Or harm me." Korrin says softly, his voice quiet but deadly.
    "Oh?"
"You WANT this war. You find it funny to watch as the world's children fight and die in a war that isn't even theirs to take place in."
Flen waits for him to continue, eyes narrowed.
"You know, Flen," Korrin continues calmly. "Long ago, the government was in charge. It was respected. It vowed to protect its citizens, and it did. There was a military of trained adults, and the mere mention of children at war was horrible. Now? Look at what the world has become. When those kids have joined forces, you better be dead or preparing for a slow, painful death. Those kids are gonna be roaming the streets. They'll take over, and you know the first thing they'll do? They'll hunt you down, and kill your whole inner circle-thing you got going. They're gonna be mad, Flen. Viscous. Because you took away their happiness. Consider yourself warned, Flen." With that, he's gone.
