    classic

The classic tale of a young girl's journey to the life she never realized was right for her stands the test of time. I loved reading this as a teenager and re-read and still loved as a grown woman. Wouk has amazing descriptive powers and you can truly 'see' South Wind, West End Ave and pre-war Paris. A perfect rainy day, long plane ride book

I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. Very enjoy

I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. Very enjoyable. I read it because of its mentioning in "The End of Your Life Book Club".
This book was far better than the film. So glad filmmaking has improved so dramatically since 1957. Now, if a book becomes film, they often follow the book closely. The book was very enjoyable, the film was not. Give it a try.

    A good read

I saw this movie, I think when I was much younger, and I enjoyed reading this book now. It rekindles feelings of what it is like to be so young and in love for the first time. The characters are believable and your own heart wants to help their hearts. . .A good book for a rainy day.
