Mark McGwire isn't just a man who hits homers

Mark McGwire is a great influence to anybody looking for one. In this book, it goes through all of Mark's life, starting in his Little League days to hitting 50 home runs in a major league baseball season. This book goes through all of Mark's seasons in pro baseball and in the minors. It also describes his struggles with injuries and shows how he has the power to overcome them. Rob Raines is a great writer that shows that he knows what goes on with baseball. Mark McGwire has been hitting homers since he was 13. In one game, he hit a ball out of the park, onto a highway, and bounced across the county line, so he really did hit the ball into another county. Also, Mark has overcome completely torn tendons in both of his feet. Rob Raines shows how Mark McGwire is a loving man, giving $1 million a year to a charity organization to sexually and physically abused children, and that he is a very sensitive man, breaking down in tears when describing the charity. The book is an amazing show of Mark McGwire, the man, not the guy who hits home runs.
