Return With Us Now to Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear!
Jack Kirby wasn't at his best with the first issue. Neither was Joe Simon. But they were still heads above everyone else. And they kept getting better with each issue! These are the primal stories of the character who is the ONLY person in the Marvel Universe that every other character trusts.

most of the other hundreds of titles on the racks at that time!
Why?Joe Simon and Jack Kirby,of course!!Visionaries and Geniuses
from the very early days of the comics medium! Not that there were not a few other creators who stood apart the rest..such as Will Eisner and Reed Crandall, just to name two!
But here are Simon and Kirby's first four issues of Captain America in high quality reproduction for the Nook!
In reading this you will discover that Simon and Kirby
made all the comics that they worked on just plain fun!!
Here,we get the origin of Captain America and Bucky.
I never cared for the kid side-kicks of the heroes, but they
were common back in the forties, unfortunately.
Also the early tales of the Red Skull (who was a
corrupt industrialist back then!) are here!
Simon and Kirby spin tales of action, adventure,
suspense and even horror!
B&N has made this edition very affordable for the Nook
and I highly reccomend it!!
My only complaint is that the HC edition of this same book
had a great introduction that is not included in this digital
