Kirby and the Dark Phoenix: Chapter 6

"You son of-" "SCREEE!" The Dynablade screeched, interrupting Epic in the middle of her cu<_>rse. Kirby readied his parasol, Tac his katana, Kibbles his scythe, and Epic her spear. Wheelie rolled rapidly and, before the Dynablade could react, slammed into its chest. In retailitation, the Dynablade flew up into the sky. "RAINBOW WING!" Yelled Tac as the giant bird swooped close to the ground, picking up Kibbles with its talons and knocking over the others. Kibbles st<_>abbed Dynablade in the leg then pulled his scythe out. Dynablade released its grip, screeching in pain, and Kibbles rolled to the ground. Kirby quickly stood up and jumped onto Dynablade's back. He stabbed Dynablade in the back with the sharp tip of his parasol, and though it didn't hurt the bird, it sure got its attention. Dynablade rolled in the sky, trying to get Kirby off. Epic threw her spear at Dynablade, but missed it by an inch. Dynablade finally managed to get Kirby off, though Kirby managed to open his parasol and floated down unharmed, thankful he thought of getting the parasol. Tac jumped up and slashed Dynablade across the face with his katana as it swooped down, attempting to use Rainbow Wing again. Furious, it grabbed Tac in its beak, and flew up again. Kirby threw aside the parasol, bouncing around until Epic grabbed the thing and put back it the pack after Kirby brought out a steel gray star. Kirby inhaled the star and swallowed it, recieving the UFO ability. He flew up and fired his laser (later Epic jokingly called it the "Sh<_>oop Da Wh<_>oop"), hitting Dynablade in the wing. It dropped Tac and went after Kirby. Kirby quickly zoomed around, getting it to where it was close enough it could be hit by his friends, but not where it could attack them. After being dealt several blows, it abondoned the chase and instead dove towards Kirby's friends, talons outstretched. Suddenly, a yellow Waddle Dee jumped onto Dynablade's back. It rolled over again, but Epic held on to its feathers, climbing up to Dynablade's neck. It flew over a cliff. The all ran over to the cliff, except for Kirby and Lumin, who flew over. Suddenly, Epic and the rainbow bird appeared, Epic riding Dynablade. "YEEHAW! Watcha standing there for!? Hop on!" She yelled. Kirby released his power, and, after putting up the star, walked over with his friends to get on Dynablade's back. "LOBSTER SHORE, HERE WE COME!" Shouted Epic, and they flew off.<p>((Wow. That was harder than Chapter 2! At least there less characters fighting and Daro had a wider arensel of attacks at chpt. 2! Anyway, tell me what you think!))

Very good start to what seems to be an interesting story.

It's only 29 pgs so it's difficult to make an informed decision at this time.

It will be interesting to read the upcoming installments.

I wish the authors would have the installments ready in a more timely manner. By the time they're published I' ve forgotten the original one or have simply lost interest and moved on to something else. Otherwise I would have rated this 4 stars.

    A nice short story

The story brings you in from start to finish, and makes you wish for more. It's only 27 pages of the beginning of a great story.
