I Also Recommend:
Every one needs a good Editor now and then.
Alain Briot is a very good photographer and, at least in his first book, "Mastering Landscape Photography", a solid writer. However, in this book what he really needed was a great Editor. Too many times he says the same thing three times in three consecutive paragraphs. And too many times it feels like he is still working out his idea on the page, rather presenting us a thought through concept. This undermines his points over and over again. Compounding that error, though a longer book than his first, there is less here to chew on. My advice is to get "Mastering Landscape Photography" and skip this one.
