    CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'VE BEEN RAGGING MY BRAIN OUT TRYING TO FIGURE SOMETHING ABOUT XML FROM THIS BOOK...and I TELL U, IT AIN'T HELPING!!!!! And i thought it would be straight forward and less barbling like other books *sigh* I'm going to invest my money in another XML book that hopefully would make me learn this language...I so want to learn it! I think I'm getting more out of XML website tutorials...

    Someone Should Read 'Mastering Editing'

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this book. I have never read a computer publication that was so riddled with typographical, grammatical, and syntactical errors. I would be surprised if the editor and/or proofreaders actually sat down, read, and attempted to digest this material. The book is quite thorough in its discussion of the various XML technologies, but I found that the presentation was lacking and the bug-ridden code examples left me wondering if I had truly understood what I had read. I came away with a fairly well-rounded understanding of XML, but I still would not recommend this book. I gave it one star not so much for the content as for the incredibly poor job of editing. I hope Sybex takes a long, hard look at this book and releases a much needed and improved second edition.
