    I Also Recommend:

Teens will love it, but I find the writing for Bluford High lack

Teens will love it, but I find the writing for Bluford High lacking. I agree to let my students read one as a whole class each year, but I can't tolerate more than that. There is little to no figurative language, weak character development, a lack of creativity in descriptions, no vivid imagery. If you are just looking for a bunch of drama and buffoonery then this is the book for you. If you are looking for a good story line and crafty writing, keep going. Read Sharon Flake or Sharon Draper instead. You get the drama aspect but with much better writing.

    A Book For Enjoying

Some things I did not like about "A Matter of Trust" was that it went on about the same thing for a while and that it did not seem like a book for both boys and girls. I mean a boy could read but I don't think he would like the book very much. One other thing I did not like about the book is that it lost my attention a few times. Things that I did like about the book are that it was a good book for a girl and that it was interesting at certain parts. Lastly what I like about the book is that it kept me wanting to read more. Some of main characters that I think you should know about are Hakeem and Darcy. Hakeeem is a good singer and guitar player. But he is very shy and when he gets nervous he stutters. Darcy is Hakeem's girlfriend and loves him very much. She is very kind to him and sticks up for him when people make fun of him. This book is about Darcy and her relationship with Hakeem. This relationship was going fine till an old friend name Brisana tries to take Hakeem away. Will Brisana ruin their relationship forever? Read to find out!
