    Great addition to the series

The story was great! Micah (aka Maverick) is an intense character. I spent most of my time trying to solve him. He is very private and keeps to himself. His attitude around his team mates is pretty dry and impersonal. Only when he meets and becomes involved with Risa does he become a different man all together. His sensitivity and urge to protect her from everything and anything is touching. This was a good read...though not as great as WILD CARD...it makes me wish HEAT SEEKER comes out already!

    Maverick is a winner

Once again Lora Leigh has done it. She is one of the best authors out there. This Book series keeps you on the edge of your seat. I wish that it wasn't so long in between release dates. I would highly recommend this book. But you have to read the other elite op series first, to understand how it all plays together.

    Really good read

This is a really good book and I enjoyed reading it very much. There was some things in the book that they never followed through with and that kinda bugged me, but all in all it was a really good read. I love all of her books and pretty much buy them as soon as they become available.

    Lora Leigh always delievers

I enjoy Ms. Leigh's writing and stories. The story line is always gripping and it's always very hard to put the book down. This book is part a series based on Navy Seals that are working for a private covert group. Ms. Leigh developms the lead female character as a very vulnerabile tragic individual that faces the tough situation that someone wants to kill her and she becomes baite for a covert group trying to catch the assasin and protect her. This book has sexy romantic scenes that are graphic and sexy. I love Ms. Leigh's use of past charaters in this book. I look forward to the next book.

    Could move a little faster

Maverick moved a little slower than most of Lora Leigh's other novels. Micah was a fascinating character, but I'm not sure what Ms. Leigh was going for with the Risa character. Sympathy? Empathy? Whatever, she didn't quite get it - not that Risa was unlikeable, but I just couldn't get into her.
